Vera Nell Watson, 84, of Waldorf, MD, died May 8, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Watson was a waitress and bartender at various area restaurants. She enjoyed being with her friends and family. She loved riding motorcycles and was a "plain country girl".

Born September 9, 1926, in Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Vernon Carver and the late Macie Belle Sams. Predeceased by her parents; husband James M. Watson; two sons Alan Watson; Billy Kline; nine siblings.

Survived by children Jody Helton, Barbara Watson, Edie Watson, and Darlene Watson; Ralph Kline, Vernon Kline, Ronnie Kline, Margie Wimmer, Patty Whitaker, and Tammy Kline. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 16, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Reverend Mark Roberson will officiate. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be Keith King, Robert Fowler, Jr., Vernon Kline, Donnie Whitaker, Charles "Vinny" Sidler, and Christopher Robertson.
