Naomi "Memaw" Jenkins 79 of Benedict, Md. died on May 2, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 7, 1931 in Marshall Hall, Md. to the late Adam Shuemaker, May Pickeral and her stepfather George Pickeral. She is also predeceased by her husband Vincent Jenkins, Sr. and her sister Lillian Hayes.

She is survived by her children Ricky Jenkins, Jr. (Valerie), Elaine Copsey (Lonnie), Marie Rison (Mike Davis), Sandra Thorne (Steve), Karen Jenkins, and Renee "Bump" Jenkins (Kimberly), brothers George Pickeral, William Pickeral, sister's Beaulah Stalcup, Susan Buchanhan, Alice Willett, Mildred Pickeral, Florence Robey and Evelyn Pickeral. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and special friends at the Renal Care Partners.

Memaw enjoyed reading, loved her adopted pets Mickey and Tiger, she loved people and was loved by everyone she met. She enjoyed working at Captain Leonards with her family and friends, crotchet and gardening and loved her family very much.

The family will receive friends on Friday May 6th , 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7pm at the Brinsfield - Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall, Md. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Saturday May 7th 10am at the St. Frances DeSales Catholic Church Benedict, Md. Interment to follow at the St. Mary's Bryantown Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Charles County or the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
