Margaret M. Wedel, 97, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Manor Care Health Services, South.

She was the wife of the late Clayton B. Wedel. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Heidenreich) Lengefeld.

Mrs. Wedel was a child-care provider in her home in Clinton, Md., for over thirty years. Over 100 children received special care by Margaret. Margaret was a member and former organist for 47 years for the Clinton Baptist Church in Clinton, Md., and she attended the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene in York. She was given the title Organist Emeritus for her outstanding service to her church. She was also an avid bowler.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley D. Trovinger and her husband, Robert P., Jr. of York; grandson, Matthew R. Trovinger and his wife, Jessica M. of Bonaire, Ga.; grandson, Kyle J. Trovinger and his wife, Abby N. of Harrisburg; and two granddaughters, Rienne E. and Riley S. Trovinger of Bonaire, Ga.

Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert, John, Norman, Fred and George; and two sisters, Emma and Gertrude Lengefeld.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the Clinton Baptist Church, 8701 Woodyard Rd. in Clinton, Md. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, Md. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. till the time of the service at the church.
