Leonard Michael McGinn, 66, of Charlotte Hall, died April 13, 2011 at Calvert Memorial Hospital. Born June 21, 1944 in St. Paul, MN, he was the son of William Joseph "Joe" McGinn and Elizabeth Anne Anderson McGinn, both deceased.

While living in Minnesota, he was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in West St. Paul and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Rantoul, IL. Mr. McGinn entered the Air Force at age 18 in Minnesota and served in Southeast Asia where he was wounded and became disabled. After rehabilitation, he moved to Rantoul, IL where he worked at Chanute Air Force Base. He came to Maryland in 2001 to live at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

He is survived by his brothers, William McGinn (Vickie), John McGinn (Nelsene), Donald McGinn (Michele), Patrick McGinn; sister, Catherine Dunigan (Rick) and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at 1:00p.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. The Rev. Frank McMullen will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, 29449 Charlotte Hall Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
