Mr. Henderson was an Inventory Control Clerk with the Charles County Public Facilities for 10 years. He was a Coach for the Charles County Junior Volleyball Program and the La Plata High School JV Volleyball Team. He loved the outdoors and all sports, including fishing and camping. He was very friendly and was always willing to help others. Wally will be greatly missed by all.

He was son of the late William Henderson and the late Evelyn Silvius Henderson.

He was predeceased by his parents; two late sons, Todd and Timmy Rogers; two late daughters, Kimberly Henderson and Danielle Cox; and one late brother, Eddie Henderson.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Peggy Henderson; one son, Brent (Tina) Henderson of Waldorf, MD; one daughter, Robin Rogers of Mechanicsville, MD; one son-in-law, Randy Cox; one brother, Jim (Bonnie) Henderson of Owings, MD; and one sister, Sandy (John) Broadwater of Indian Head, MD. Also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6- 8pm with a Funeral Service at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate.
