Robert Edward "Bobby" Balint, 17, of Waldorf, MD, died March 26, 2011, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Bobby loved life, family, music and theater. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He dedicated his life to bringing people joy from the stage. He was a senior at Maurice J. McDonough High School in Pomfret, MD. He planned to attend a four-year college to study musical theater. His passion was theater and choir.

He appeared in many theater productions beginning in 1999 when he became a member of Encore Kids. In 1999 he became a member of Port Tobacco Players and had roles in The Producers, Sweeney Todd, Oliver, West Side Story, Pajama Game, Seussical, Christmas Schooner, Christmas Story, Bye, Bye Birdie and Schoolhouse Rock. He also starred in Alice in Wonderland, Children of Eden, Dracula, Seussical, Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, High School Musical and Zombie Prom with McDonough High School Theater.

He was to appear in West Side Story as Tony in two weeks. He also starred in the Secret Garden, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White with the College of Southern Maryland. He was the Director of One Act Play; Vice President and Treasurer of the Drama Club; Choreographer for Alice in Wonderland and Children of Eden. He received many awards throughout his high school career including the 2009 - 2010 Departmental Award for Outstanding Student in Drama, McDonough High School Best Actor Performing Renfield in Dracula; 2010 Board of Education of Charles County All State Advanced Thespian; 2007 - 2011 Maryland All State Chorus and 2007 - 2011 Maryland All County Chorus.

Born May 28, 1993, in Clinton, MD, he was the son of John Robert Balint and Robin Clark Balint.

Predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Chester A. Clark, Sr.

Survived by his parents; sister, Alyssa M. Balint of Waldorf, MD; paternal grandparents, Sally and Bob Balint of Huntingtown, MD; maternal grandparents, Beverly A. Clark and Ed Behen of California, MD; uncles, Alex (Judy) Balint, Chet (Katie) Clark and David (Suzy) Clark; aunts, Karen (Jack) Dempsey, Cindy (Jeff) Elmore and Danna Clark; two great aunts, Elaine Jeffries and Cookie (Bill) Giar. Also survived by 13 cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2011, 5PM until 9PM at New Life Church, 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 11AM at New Life Church. Rev. Mike Hilson and Rev. Bruce Jones will officiate. Interment will be private.
