Ira Ray Greene, Sr., 38 of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Forestville, MD died suddenly on February 12, 2007 at his residence.

Born on October 31, 1968 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Norman Bruce and Mary Irene Davis Shue. Mr. Greene was an Archives Tech for the National Archives. He attended elementary & middle school at Mt. Calvary. Graduate of Bishop McNamara High School in 1986. He also attended St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Upper Marlboro and Mt. Calvary in Forestville, MD. Some of his enjoyments included shooting pool, playing football, bowling, and other activities with children. He played baseball and softball at work and was also involved with the Boys club. Other hobbies were fishing, Bass and Charter boats, and weekend trips with Dad to West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his wife, Aprel Mencer Greene, children, Kayla Marie and Margaret Rose Greene, and Ira Ray Greene, Jr., all of Mechanicsville, MD, siblings, Norma Sue Hamilton of Hollywood, MD and Teresa Lynn Wilkes of Colonial Beach, VA, Brian and Douglas Krolak, step mother, Patty Greene of District Heights, MD, and step father, Bryon Shue of Hollywood, MD.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Eddie and Evelyn Davis and Leola Jones and a niece, Victoria Wilkes.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2007 from 11-1p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Funeral Service will follow. Interment will be private.
