SWANN, SR., JAMES DANIEL (AGE 80) OF CHARLOTTE HALL, MARYLAND.

Peacefully, on March 6, 2011 at his home and surrounded by his family, James "Daniel" Swann, Sr. (80) departed this earthly life for life eternal.

He was on born July 15, 1930 to the late Richard Daniel Swann and the late Leola Hawkins.

Daniel, as he was more affectionately known, loved his family and friends. He enjoyed social gatherings and listening to old school music. He especially enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, so after 30 years of service with the Charles County Public School System Daniel retired.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, John Dorsey and Brooks Muschette and four sisters-in-law, Gertrude Wheeler, Eloise Farmer, Henrietta Dorsey and Marystone Muschette.

Left to cherish many memories are: his loving and devoted wife, Agnes Claralee Swann; eight children, Diane Dade, James D. Swann , Jr., John Swann, Richard Swann, Sr., Wanda Moore, Jerome Swann, Pamela Hawkins and Tracy Swann; three sons-in-law, Clayton Dade, Steven Hawkins and Earl Swann; three daughters-in-law, Sarah Swann, Vanessa Swann and Jacqueline Swann; nine grandchildren, Jason Dade, Jimmie Dade, Tina Swann, Jonmika Swann, Brittany Swann, Richard Swann, Jr., Spencer Johnson, Jr., Morgan Swann and Ronald Moore, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Micah Dade, Ta'Shawn Swann, Ta'Niya Swann, Jaylen Swann and Maraiya Swann; three sisters, Dottie Wells, Dorothy Collins, Laura Farmer; three brothers-in-law, George Livers Sr., William Wheeler and Joseph Farmer; one sister-in-law, Lillian Livers; long-time friend of the family, Timothy Swann; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Daniel will be deeply missed & forever loved. The Family.

His Viewing will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 from 8:00am until Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am. His Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
