Geraldine Hayes Mahan, 73, of Nanjemoy, MD, died March 7, 2011, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mrs. Mahan was a Tax and Title Worker with Becker Title and Tags in Silver Spring, MD and later with the MVA. She was a member of Nanjemoy Baptist Church, where she served with the Women's Group as a Volunteer. She was a Notary Public for 40 years and a dedicated homemaker.

Born February 17, 1938, in Appalachia, VA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. Hayes and the late Macie Oliver Hayes.

Predeceased by her parents; and her late husband of 50 years, Clarence Allen Mahan.

Survived by her two sons, Clarence A. and his wife Cari Mahan, II of Scottsburg, VA; Mark S. Mahan of Nanjemoy, MD; one brother, Bobby Hayes of Norton, VA; one sister, Brenda Yeakle of Appalachia, VA; six grandchildren, Latoya, Mark, Gerry, Jasper, Caleb and Camden; four great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Amari, Kaden and Mariah.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 9:30am until Service Time at 11am at Nanjemoy Baptist Church, 3030 Baptist Church Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662.

Interment to follow in Church Cemetery.

Clergy will be the Rev. Brian Corrick.
