![]() Susan Etta MacPherson, 53 , of Lexington Park, MD died February 20, 2011. Born March 10, 1957 in Accokeek, MD, she was the daughter of John Francis Summers and Mary Elizabeth Summers.
Susan attended Friendly High School graduating with the Class of 1975. Shortly thereafter, she married the love of her life, Duncan James MacPherson on October 16, 1976. Together they had 2 children, Wendi Sue Kilroy (John J. Kilroy, III) and David Neil MacPherson (Kate). Susan and Duncan spent their later years living in St. Mary's County. Susan enjoyed life. She was the grandmother of 4, Danielle Sue Wenk, Daisy Elizabeth Kilroy, David Neil MacPherson, Jr and Gavin Dean Grey. She was excited to learn grandchild #5 was on the way. She had many hobbies, among them watching wrestling, playing games on her computer and painting. She especially enjoyed collecting dolphins and gardening. Susan was predeceased by her father. She is survived by her mother; brothers, John (Jack) Summers of Waldorf, MD and Charles B. Summers of Lusby, MD; sisters, Cheryl Ann Derry, Mechanicsville, MD and Delephia Lauren Boswell, Front Royal, VA; aunts, uncles and extended family. The family will receive friends for Susan's Life Celebration on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD, 20622. A Funeral Service will be held at Brinsfield-Echols Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Waters Memorial United Methodist Cemetery, 5400 Mackall Rd., St. Leonard, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Baden Volunteer Fire Department, 16608 Brandywine Rd., Brandywine, MD 20613. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home. |
