Brian Hughes Marshall, 70, of Hollywood died on February 14, 2011 at the Hospice House of St. Mary's after a long battle fighting cancer and heart disease. Born August 31, 1940 in Teaneck, NJ, he was the son of the late Mary "Ellen" and Leo Marshall.

Brian was a long time member of the Lexington Park U.S. Navy Fleet Reserve Association, Lusby American Legion, and the Hollywood Moose Association. He retired from the U.S. Navy, SYSCON Corporation (now Northrop Gruman), and BAE Systems.

He is survived by his sister Irene Marshall of Belfast, Maine; his sons David Marshall of Manassas, VA and Douglas Marshall of ST. Louis, MO; his daughter-in-laws, Cecelia and Harriet Marshall; and his grandchildren Brian, Marie, McKay, Eleanor and Ned. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Ginny Noel, LuAnne Tonioli, Maryann Rott, Georgette Rott and Terry Vogel all of Florida.

Family will receive friends for Brian's Life Celebration on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 7 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. in St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church with Father Raymond Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
