![]() Together with her husband, Thomas I. Farr, Jr., Mrs. Farr was the Owner/Operator of Farr's Store in Wayside, MD for 25 years (operating the store for many years after her husband's death). She was active in community activities, including the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, the VFW Women's Auxiliary, Physicians Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and served as president of the Charles County Liquor Licensing Board. She enjoyed traveling the United States and spending time with her family.
Daughter of the late John Dye and the late Ida Bell Parks Dye. Predeceased by her parents; her husband, Thomas I. Farr, Jr., stepmother, Tobitha Parks Dye; brothers, Edward, Arnold, John Jr., and Wayne Dye; sisters, Beulah Dye, Leatrice Yates, Stella Driscoll, Muriel Frere, and Jo Ann Knight; brother-in-laws, Reed Farr, Eugene Farr; and sister-in-laws, Mary Edith Farr Wilroy, Anna Farr, Dorothy Farr Korrow, and Mary Noone Farr. Survived by her family, Brenda and Russell "Rick" Korrow of Newburg, MD, Edward and Laurie Yates of Newburg, MD, Russell Thomas Korrow of Virginia Beach, VA, brothers Dale Dye and wife Pat of Berlin, WI, Wendell Dye and wife Zelda of Henderson, TN, Douglas "Randy" Dye of Wytheville, VA; Robert Frere of Lexington Park, MD, sister-in-law Margaret Farr Wyatt and husband William of Baltimore, MD; and other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 10-11 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church - Issue, 15848 Rock Point Road, Newburg, MD 20664. Fr. Greg Coan will officiate. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church Newport Cemetery, 11555 St. Mary's Church Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
