Loretta Kay Straka (nee' Wilkins) 62, a longtime resident of Manassas, VA died in her Port Republic, MD home on January 30, 2011 after a two year battle with ovarian cancer.

Many will remember her as the owner of "The Ivy Door" a ladies specialty clothing store that was in business for over 30 years in Manassas. Loretta's love of retail sales continued in the late 90's when she became a successful saleswoman of fine jewelry. Upon her semi-retirement from Bailey Banks & Biddle in 2003, she and her husband Stephen moved to the Chesapeake Bay community, Scientists Cliffs in Port Republic, MD. They transformed her parents' summer cottage into the home of their dreams. Loretta enjoyed traveling, making new friends and was a very talented needle pointer.

Most important to her was spending time with family. She adored her five grandchildren; Christoph (17), Hanna (15), Rowan (8), Carter (6) and Noah (6).
Left to mourn her are her devoted husband Stephen, her children Eric Echols (Catherine) and Erin Stickler (Bill), five grand-children as well as a brother Paul Wilkins Jr. Survivors also include a niece, nephew, several cousins an aunt and many close friends.

Loretta's parents Paul and June Wilkins predeceased her in 1988 and 2007 respectively.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1PM on Saturday February 5, 2011 at Stoney's Kingfisher's 1442 Solomon's Island Road, Solomon's Island, MD 20688.
