Ruby Driggers Reifenauer, 86, of Mechanicsville, MD, died at January 24, 2011 at Washington Hospital Center.

Born on February 3, 1924 in Orangeburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Dovie Spices Driggers.

She was a homemaker. She was also a volunteer nurse at a nursing home in Washington, DC. Her enjoyments were ceramics, gardening, cooking, church, country music, and her family and friends.

Survived by her husband, Erwin Gerald Reifenauer, children, Don and wife, Kim Poston, George Poston, and Ralph Reifenauer and friend, Donna Reaves, Susan and husband, Richard Moore, Tammy and husband, Ronnie DePalma, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by 12 siblings.

A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 21708 Mt. Zion Church Rd., Mechanicsville, MD. Interment will follow in church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Neal Miskell, Christopher Reifenauer, Ronnie DePalma, Scott Jackson, Ricky Moore, and John Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, PO Box 1060, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
