Robert Hughie Raines, Sr., 61, of Mechanicsville, MD, died on January 23, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.

Born on December 8, 1949 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Hugh and Mary Morgan Raines. Robert was a Plumber.

Survived by his wife, Linda Darlene Hoke Raines, children, Robert H. Raines, Jr. of Huntingtown, MD, and Timothy L. Raines of Fortworth, Texas, siblings, Mae East of Westphalia, Kansas, Nancy Elliott and Joyce Trumbull, both of Mechanicsville, MD, Raymond Raines of Colonial Beach, VA, and Ronald Scott of Jessup, MD, and 3 grandchildren, Nick, Jessica, and Jacob.
