Rita Virginia Dutton, 76, of White Plains, MD, died January 17, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Dutton was a Homemaker and a life-long member at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pomfret where she was very active. She was a long-time caretaker, helping with many family members and a volunteer at Archbishop Neale School in La Plata, MD. She loved working in her yard and being with family and grandkids. Born January 21, 1934, in Pomfret, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Harrison Willett and the late Nellie Loretta Coombs Willett. Predeceased by her parents; her husband of 38 years, Richard Colton Dutton, Sr.; and daughter, Sally Dutton. Survived by three sons, Richard C. and his wife Dyneene Dutton, Jr. of White Plains, MD; Christopher R. Dutton, Sr. of Sterling, VA; and Bradley W. and his wife Gail Dutton of Bel Alton, MD; three daughters, Elizabeth L. Dutton-Davis of Waldorf, MD, Jennifer R. and her husband Jack Klerk of Three Rivers, MI, and Melanie S. Dutton of White Plains, MD; two brothers, Edward and Douglas Willett both of Pomfret, MD; three sisters, Margaret Hurlburt, Anna Welch, and Patsy Cox, all of Pomfret, MD. Also survived by 14 grand children and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 20, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with Wake Service at 7 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 21, 2011, at 11 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD. Fr. Mark Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be Colton, Keith, and Christopher Dutton, Jr., Brian and Tony Davis, and Luis Rodriguez. Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spring Dell Center, 6040 Radio Station Road, La Plata, MD 20646. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service. |
