Lillian Elizabeth Long, 93, of Waldorf, MD, died January 2, 2011, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mrs. Long was the owner of Long's Meat and Poultry Market in Laurel, MD, for 30 years. In her early years she worked for Laurel High School cafeteria. She loved reading and playing bingo.

Born August 24, 1917, in Contee Oakcrest, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Henson and the late Gertrude Miser Henson.

Predeceased by her parents; husband, James Denard Long.

Survived by her daughters, Geraldine M. Ready of Trinity, FL; Catherine E. Lanning and her husband John of Waldorf, MD; brother, George W. Henson of Montana; sister, Shirley E. Lanning of Laurel, MD; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
