Charles Joseph "Joe" Young, 54, of Prince Frederick, MD, died December 30, 2010 at Calvert Memorial Hospital. Born October 6, 1956 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Marion Baker Young and Jane Heaton Young.

Joe was a Control Room Manager for Mirant/GenOn Power Plant in Aquasco, MD. He enjoyed many things in life, among them deer hunting - bow and black powder, crabbing and fishing, metal detecting, cats and gardening. He also loved to ride motorcycles and was a group member of the Concord Owners. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and son.

Joe was predeceased by a sister, Pamela J. Young.

He is survived by his parents and beloved wife, Theresa L. Young; daughters, Melissa A Martz "Missy", Crystal B. Palma (Jeff), Kathleen M. Young and her finance, Tyler Pickett; brothers, Steven B. Young, Michael B. Young and Jeffrey J. Young; sister, Dawn D. Russo; grandchildren, Krista, Elizabeth, Austin, Eddie, Christian, Kallie, Analicia and Jeffery and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends for Joe's Life Celebration on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Chapel, Aquasco, MD. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
