Floyd Edward Wood, 69 , of St. Leonard, MD passed away on December 19, 2010. He was born in Collins, Missouri, December 16, 1941 to Lloyd R. Wood, Sr. and Nellie V. Stevenson.

He was raised and lived in Missouri until 1984 when he relocated his family to St. Leonard, Maryland. He owned Concrete Forming Systems in Capital Heights, Maryland for 20 years before he retired. He had many interest throughout the years, which ranged from coon hunting to being an avid street rod enthusiast. He was a member of the Summer Nights Cruzers, Calvert County Cruisers, St. Mary's County Moose Lodge, and Coon Hunter Club.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Lloyd and Nellie Wood, and two brothers Lloyd Wood, Jr., and Jerry Wood and was the oldest of ten children.

He is survived by his wife Rose Wood of St. Leonard, Maryland and two brothers, Clarence Wood and William Wood, and five sisters, Virginia Massey, Bertha Jett, Letha Burnett, Rachel Wood, and Sandra Dorrell all of Missouri. He is survived by four daughters; Letha Bryan of Liberty, Missouri. Deborah Bergman of Belton, Missouri, and Anita Ballard of Independence, Missouri, and Sheila Rodgers of Independence, Missouri and two sons, Timothy Conwell of Independence, Missouri, and Steven Sosebee of St. Leonard, Maryland. He was a proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren, Bobby, Jennifer, Kristal, Jamie, Ilea, Miranda, Dylan, Steven Jr., and Jacob, and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD on Wednesday December 22, 2010 from 5-8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on December 27, 2010 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, MO.
