She received great pleasure in entertaining and cooking "grandma's" favorite recipes for them all. Her great-grandchildren were also touched by her abundant love. Last year, she enjoyed celebrating her 90th Birthday with many family members and dear friends. It was a very special day of great tribute to her and, the loving memories from that day have endured through her recent difficult months. Naomi loved people as well as cooking for them. She was very active in many organizations. A devout Catholic, her reverence to her Catholic faith was most apparent. She belonged to Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Issue, where she was a member of the Daughters of Charity. Also, she was secretary-treasurer of the Democratic Club; and a member of the Homemakers Club of Charles County and was 1999 Homemaker of the year. In 2000, she won a blue ribbon for her infamous peach pie in the Charles County Fair, and in June 200, she was the Grand Marshal of the Cobb Island Day parade. Naomi loved her many friends at Cobb Island and often would prepare some of her delicious recipes to share with them. She was an amazing cook, avid reader, and proud of her aptitude in solving crossword puzzles.
