James Clinton Dorsey, 89, of Prince Frederick, MD, passed away December 4, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on June 8, 1921 in Port Republic, MD to the late James Somerset Dorsey and Sally Fowler.

Clinton served in the army during World War II. A lifelong resident of Calvert County, he retired from the auto business in 1983.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Dorsey.

Clinton is survived by his wife Ethel Dorsey of Prince Frederick, MD; children Larry Dorsey of Arlington, VA, Gloria DeBolt of Hughesville, MD, Sandra Archer of Salisbury, NC, and Douglas Dorsey of St. Leonards, MD; sister Mattie Burch of Toana, VA. He is also survived by grandchildren Melissa Carnes, Roy Archer, III, Christy Roll, and Tara Johnson; great-grandchildren Savannah and Kylee Roll and James Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Rausch Funeral Home, Port Republic, MD. Service will be held on Wednesday December 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Christ Church, Port Republic, MD with The Rev. John E. Howanstine officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Denton, Brook Gray, Don Johnson, Michael Lund, Don Novak, and Robert Sweeney.
