Christine Gilman Howell, 51, of St. Leonard, MD died November 27, 2010 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 19, 1959 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Robert and Sheilah Gilman. She was raised in Waldorf, MD and graduated from Thomas Stone High School with the class of 1977.

Christine was beautiful inside and out. She was a devoted mother, loving wife and dedicated and valued worker throughout her career. She was a committed and wonderful military wife for over twenty years who made a warm home in Greece, Germany and numerous stateside assignments. She was friendly, generous and giving and made lifelong friends throughout her many moves and occupations.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheilah Gilman. She is survived by her husband, Bryan Howell; daughter, Ashley; son, Bryan, Jr.; father and stepmother, Robert and Dorothy Gilman of Waldorf; sisters, Bobbi Rogers and Robin Budwee of Kuna, Idaho; sister, Patricia Hall of Elkton; brother, Jeffrey Gilman of Waldorf; brother, William (Tony) Jacobs of Charlotte Hall and brother, Robert Gilman, Jr. of West River.

The family will receive friends for Christine's Life Celebration on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A service will be held at 7:00p.m. Interment will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD on Monday, December 6, 2010.
