Swann, Marjorie Veronica Harley, 48 of Hughesville, Maryland.

Marjorie Veronica Swann better known as "Marge or Margie" was called home on November 23, 2010 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

She was born on May 11, 1962 in Cheverly, Maryland to Thelma Cecelia Proctor Harley and the late John "Shortie" William Harley.

Marjorie attended Prince Georges County Schools, but resided in Charles County, Maryland most of her life.

There wasn't anything more important to her than being around her family and friends having fun,playing cards, going to bingo, watching western movies or rooting on her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Marjorie had a big heart towards every one of all walks of life. If you were hungry, she would cook you something to eat. If you had nowhere to go, she gave you a place to sleep. If she didn't know the answer to a question, she knew someone that did. A life short lived, but lived to the fullest. Marjorie touched many more lives than anyone will ever know.

In addition to her father, Marjorie was preceded in death by her daughter, Shawnae "Nae" Thomas and her special friend, Eunice Proctor.

She is survived by her mother, Thelma C. Harley, children, Tonya Swann, Alicia Swann, John Swann and Shaquita Thomas,the man of her dreams,Clarence Thomas, sons-in-law, Corey Ware and Harold Short,grandchildren, Demarco Campbell, Daevon Holly, Daja Holly, Donniessa Campbell, Elijah Ware, Zeldon Ware, Tyreke Dorsey, Tyrazz Dorsey, Malik Knott, Malayia Knott and Mya Swann,sisters, KathleenCoefield and her husband Timothy and Shirley Johnson, brothers, Alfred Harley and his wife Jo-Ann, Eugene Harley, Michael Harley and David Harley, special friends, Jo-Anne Harley and Althea Harley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be heldfrom 9am until time of Service, 11am on Friday, December 3, 2010 in the Chapel of THORNTON FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, (State Route #227) Indian Head, Maryland. The Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, Maryland.
