Mildred Marguerite Robrecht Waldron, 87, of St. George Island, MD and formerly of Hillcrest Heights, MD died February 4, 2007 in St. Mary's Nursing Center. Born September 23, 1919 on St. George Island, MD she was the daughter of the late Harry Leonard and Florence Rosella Poe Robrecht. She was the beloved wife of the late William Bernard Waldron whom she married in St. John's Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD in 1972.

She is survived by her step daughter: Patricia Myers of Mt. Ranier, MD. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Francis Cornelius and Alice Elizabeth.

Mrs. Waldron moved to St. Mary's County from Hillcrest Heights, MD in 1972. She was a graduate of Great Mills High School, worked for IBM, DC as a secretary for 22 years until her retirement in the spring of 1972. From 1979-1980's she was a very talented floral gardner and arranger. She supplied the alter flowers for the island church for years. She was also very active in the Island Improvement Association, helping with dinners and other social activities. She was a member of the S.G.I. Association and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Chapel on St. George Island, where she and her husband spent many hours helping restore.

The family will receive friends in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 5 – 8 PM with prayers being said at 7:00 PM, when the rosary will be recited. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on St. George Island, MD with Fr. Mark Irvin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Steven Raley, Brian Raley, Tommy Raley, Jamie Norris, Danial Traas and Chris Traas. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Danny Ellis, Jerry Hicks, Matthew Traas and Mike Cullison.
