Rosemary Ann Tevis of Pomfret, MD, died on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at her home under Hospice care. She was 70 years old.

Born on February 26, 1940, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Mary Anne Lunceford and the late Everett C. Cooper.

A homemaker and mom, Mrs. Tevis was a member of the Elks and enjoyed doing ceramics, baking the best cookies and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

She is survived by her husband, Lowell D. Tevis; children, Gary and his wife Mary Lou Tevis of Thurmont, MD; Kimberly Tevis of Pomfret, MD; Michael and his wife Vickie Tevis of Charlotte Hall, MD; Keith and his wife Carla Tevis of Dunkirk, MD; brother, Everett "Ebie" and his wife Jane Cooper of Chaptico, MD; grandchildren, Matthew, Jason, Renee and her husband Philip Sheridan, Melissa "Missy", Mallory "Mally", Ashley, Allison Grossnickle, Michael Grossnickle, Jenna Morris, Keith and Kirk; great grandchildren, Addison Sheridan, Julienne Tevis and one on the way.

Service and interment will be private.
