Lawrence Kevin Bruffy, Sr., 48, of Waldorf, MD died November 18, 2010 at Southern Maryland Hospital.

Born January 29, 1962 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Lawrence Lloyd Bruffy and Nevada Mary Shoffner Bruffy.

He was a maintenance manager for the AFL-CIO and a member of the Office and Professional Employees International Union. He loved deer hunting, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, played the drums and liked to attend Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pearl Jam Concerts.

Kevin was predeceased by his father and sister, Bernadine Mae Bruffy Ponte.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Ann Bruffy, mother, Nevada Bruffy; son, Lawrence Kevin Bruffy, Jr.; daughters, Crystal Lynn Dodson (Gregory) of California, MD and Renee May Peaper (Steven) of Delaware; sister, Sandra Kay Thomas of Waldorf, MD; father-in-law, Russell T. Howard, Jr. and mother-in-law, Gracie Marie Howard; five grandchildren, Camaron, Courtney, Kiersten, Joselyn and Ashton.

The family will receive friends for Kevin's Life Celebration on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A prayer service will be held at 7:00p.m.

Interment will be private.
