Dallas "Sonny" Edward Goldsmith, 75 of Hughesville, MD died on November 15, 2010 at Civista Medical Hospital, La Plata, MD.

Born on December 3, 1934 in Hughesville, MD, he was the son of the late Dallas Samuel and Mary Eleanor Canter Goldsmith. Mr. Goldsmith worked for SMECO and retired in 2002. He enjoyed farming and dogs especially beagles.

Survived by a daughter Sharon L. Kalinowski, brothers, Robert S. and Earl D. Goldsmith, Philip E., James A., Claude E., and Dwight D. Long, sisters, Doris J. Cooley and Carol E. Clevenger, one grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. Services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Old Fields Episcopal Church. Rev. Rona Harding will be officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
