Lamika Camille "Mika" Marshall, 26, of Pomfret died on November 13, 2010 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland.

Born October 31, 1984, in La Plata, Maryland, she was the daughter of Mary Williams and Kelvin Marshall.

She was educated in the public schools of Charles County and upon completing her degree, she was later employed with Brace Management as a Contract Specialist.

One of Lamika's greatest joys was to prepare family meals for special occasions and the holidays.

Lamika was a kind and caring daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend who possessed many wonderful talents. Lamika had a great sense of humor; she loved to laugh as well as to make others laugh. She treasured spending quality time with family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Mary Williams; father, Kelvin Marshall; siblings, Sharnise, Kyra, Kimberly and Kayla Marshall, Kendra and Kevin Chesley; niece, D'Ajah Proctor; maternal grandparents, Richard Archie and the late Alice LaVerne Williams; paternal grandparents, Odessa M. Ford and Bernard Marshall; aunts, Gerlean Watson (Walback), Lesia Hickerson (Rev. Ernest), Janice, Carolyn, Ginger and Trisha Williams, Deborah Lynn, Bridget Govan, Lisa Boggs; uncles, Richard, Robert, Lenwood, David, Tyrone and the late James Williams and William Marshall; special friends, Sharron Miles, Crystal Belfield, Paris Bennett and a host of cousins and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am until time of Mass at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., Indian Head, Maryland.
