Dorothy Miles Blood, 90, of Leonardtown, MD died September 12, 2006.

Born October 6, 1915 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Miles and Wilhelmina Volland Miles.

She was the wife of the late Frank Edward Blood, whom she married on September 12, 1936. He died April 9, 1996.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Keil-Himmelheber and Dorothy Ruth Garner both of St. Mary's County; one sister, Ruth Miles Henderson of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, Kristin Keil Pratt, Heather Hahn Johnson, Brian Edward Garner, Tiffany Lynn Garner and five great grandchildren, Piper Lin Pratt, Meghan Elizabeth Johnson, Grayson Barrett Johnson, Kyleigh Michelle Garner and Chase Edward Garner, all of St. Mary's County.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Frank Edward (Buddy) Blood, Jr. and her daughter, Willaroy (Billie) Blood.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Dorothy Blood's life will be announced at a later date.
