Louis Salviejo, 71, of Charlotte Hall, MD, died November 10, 2010, at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD.

Mr. Salviejo served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. He was a sheet metal mechanic for 36 years with the Sheet Metals Workers Association, Local 100. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pomfret. He was also a member of the St. Charles Sportsman Club in Waldorf. He loved fishing, shooting, the Dallas Cowboys, dancing and being with his grandchildren. He was a natural born family man.

Born September 17, 1939, in Houston, TX, he was the son of the late Luis Salviejo and the late Augusta Triana.

Predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Albert P. Triana.

Survived by his wife, Susan Salviejo of White Plains, MD; son, Anthony M. L. Salviejo and his wife, Karen of Mechanicsville, MD; daughter, Julie Salviejo-Hughes and her husband Greg of La Plata, MD; stepson, George Powell of White Plains, MD; stepdaughter, Cecelia Sage and her husband Kip of Waldorf, MD; brothers, Leon S. Rivas of Boise, ID; Marcelino Rivas Salviejo of Eden, MN; Phillip A. Rivas of Bay City, TX; sisters, Christine Kieny of Tyler, TX; Dolores Potts of Tyler, TX; five grandchildren, Anthony, Karyssa, Anna Marie, William and Emily; and five step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 15, 2010, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with a wake service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at 11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 11555 St. Mary's Church Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.

Fr. Mark Ervin will officiate.

Interment will take place in the Church cemetery.
