Gilbert Rocco Cecchini, 45 of Hughesville, MD died November 6, 2010 in West Virginia. Born March 7, 1965 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Louis Richard Cecchini and Rachel Mary Mancuso Cecchini.

Gilbert was a graduate of Crossland High School in Temple Hills, MD. He worked as a superintendent for Sandy Enterprises in Waldorf, MD. Previously he was the Vice President for CeeMar Construction, a family business. He loved to play the drums and was a devoted father.

Gilbert is survived by his parents Louis Cecchini, Rachel Cecchini; sons, Gilbert R. Cecchini, Jr. and Michael Anthony Cecchini, all of Hughesville, MD; brothers, Russell Cecchini and Louis Cecchini III, also of Hughesville, and mother of his children, Frances Cecchini.

The family will receive friends for Gil's Life Celebration from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with prayers held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis DeSales Church, Benedict, MD at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Bryantown, MD.
