Laura Jane Wilkerson, 85, of Waldorf, MD died October 11, 2010.

She was a Homemaker and a Life-member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Waldorf, MD where she was very active in all phases of church-work. In her early years, she worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor with Pineview Gardens Nursing Home in Clinton, MD. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and quilting. Her main focus in life was God and her family. She was always there for birthdays and holidays.

Born September 13, 1925 in Rowan County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Phifer Foster and the late Mary Amanda Bobbitt Foster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Williamson Foster, Henry Bobbitt Foster, and Maurice Eugene Foster; and one sister, Mary Beulah Berry.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, LeMoine Alroy Wilkerson, Jr.; three sons, Larry Allen (Mary Darlene) Wilkerson, Paul Wayne (Meryle Page) Wilkerson, Sr., and Randol LeMoine (Carla Lorraine) Wilkerson; two daughters, Donna Lee (William) Coburn and Patricia Lynn Gribble; one brother, Charles Bell (Helen) Foster; and one sister, Alma Carolyn (Cecil) Padgett. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with Wake Service at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD 20646.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3235 Leonardtown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.

Clergy will be the Rev. Robert Carter.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Cross, Joe Warfield, Bradley Barry, Bob Foster, Gene Foster, and James Padgett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Paul Wilkerson, Randol Wilkerson, and Patrick Gribble.

Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
