Mrs. Hazzard was a Jewelry Buyer for 30 years with the Hecht Company and a member of Bradburn Memorial Methodist Church in District Heights, MD where she was active with the church choir, ladies aid, and Sunday School Teacher. She was a devoted mother, true Christian, always serving Christ in many ways.

Daughter of the late Walter Bentley Leek and the late Bessie Young Leek.

Predeceased by her parents; late husband, John Harrison Hazzard, Jr.; late daughter, Nancy C. Lozier; late sister, Dorothy Leek.

Survived by one son, Richard Alan (Laura) Hazzard, Sr. of La Plata, MD; three grandchildren: Richard A. Hazzard, Jr., Michael and Denyse Lozier. Also survived by one great grandchild, Isabella Nancy Lozier.

Visitation: Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 5-8 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Funeral Service: Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10 AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy: Rev. Paul Dennis.

Interment: Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746.
