Ruth Elizabeth Hudson, 101, of La Plata, MD, died September 26, 2010, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mrs. Hudson was a homemaker all her life who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing for others. She also enjoyed raising her chickens and selling her eggs to clients around La Plata. She loved her dogs, Lady, Tiny, Peter and Alex. Especially loved being with her family.

Born May 24, 1909, in Camden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. Davis and the late Irene Gray.

Predeceased by her parents; husband, John Hurley Hudson; sister, Ethel.

Survived by her daughter, Ruth Virginia and her husband Ridgeley Cooksey of La Plata, MD; grandchildren, Susan Spaulding, Wendy Stanley, David and Glenn Cooksey. Also survived by seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 30, 2010, from 11AM until service time at 12 noon at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate.

Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
