Marion Lewis "Lew" Collins, 85, of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Oxon Hill, MD, died September 21, 2010 at Hospice House of St. Mary's, Callaway, MD. Born July 23, 1925 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Otto Harrison Collins and Beatrice Triffiania Lewis.

Mr. Collins was an Elevator Mechanic and belonged to the Elevator Constructors Local # 10. Lew moved to Mechanicsville in 1980. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Laurel Grove, Mechanicsville, MD and a charter member of the Oxon Hill Sportsmens Club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. He also liked to play poker, work on his home and spend time with his wife.

Mr. Collins is survived by his loving wife, Mary "Aline" Collins; children, Linda Hesen of Chincoteague Island, VA, Cynthia Harrison of King George, VA, Monte Collins of New Market, VA, Anthony Collins of Nichols, SC, Sherry Fullerton of Port Republic, MD, Charles L. Fullerton of Bryans Road, MD, Jack E. Fullerton of Port Tobacco, MD and James "Randy" Fullerton of Orange, VA; brothers, Harry William Collins of Chesapeake, VA. and Clarence Curry Collins of Panama City, FL; sisters, Dolly Jean Stogner of Linville Falls, NC and Beatrice T. Stewart of Norfolk, VA; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 21708 Mt. Zion Church Rd., Mechanicsville, MD at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice House of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
