Frank Raine Kemp, 71, of La Plata, MD, died September 14, 2010, at Civista Medical Center.

Mr. Kemp was a Wholesale Car Dealer for Winegardner Motors and formerly Ken Dixon Chevrolet. He grew up in Fairfax, VA and graduated from Fairfax High School. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a former member of Tantallon Golf and Country Club. He recorded a CD with Sun Records in Memphis, TN and Alden Studios in Laurel, MD. Served in the U.S. Army where he played baseball six months each year.

Born February 26, 1939, in Oak Grove, VA, he was the son of the late Frank Raine Kemp and the late Louise Wachter.

Predeceased by his parents; four half-brothers, one half-sister.

Survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Lucille Stitcher Kemp; sons, Ricky Raine Weir and step-son Robert Lee Stitcher; daughters, Carla Rayne Kemp and Tracy Lynn Kemp Beck; brother, Robert Raine Kemp. Also survived by five grandchildren, Courtney Machoskie, Carson and Kylie Beck, Ginger and Tasha Stitcher.

Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2010, 3PM to 5PM and 7PM to 9PM, with a wake service at 8:30PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata, MD.

Fr. John Reutemann will officiate.

Interment will be private.
