Henry William Hamann, 80 of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Upper Marlboro, MD, died peacefully on September 5, 2010 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, where he has resided for the past two years.
Born on August 7, 1930 in Oakland, CA, he was the son of the late Henry G.F. and Grace Fleming Hamann. After High School, he proudly served in the US Air Force. He became an Airline Mechanic for United Airlines and then on to further his career at Washington Gas from where he retired in the early 90's. His enjoyments were golfing, fishing, art, and working with leather. Survived by his wife, Thelma Jean Curtis Hamann of Mechanicsville; Children: Valerie Beatty, Michael Hamann and his wife, Debbie; Grandchildren, Dustin Hamann and Danielle Powell and her husband, Cory; and Great-grandchild: Eligh Powell. His sister, Elizabeth Plumley resides in Connecticut. Services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD provided arrangements. |
