Gary Patrick Sartwell, age 51, passed away on August 30, 2010 after a lifetime of enjoying crabbing, water skiing, and hydro sliding on the Wicomico River in Charles County. Born on December 8, 1958 in Washington, D.C. Gary grew up in Kensington, MD and graduated from Walter Johnson High School. As a child, Gary demonstrated a talent for fixing things and spent his adulthood as a master mechanic. In 2003, Gary moved to Cobb Island, MD to live with his brother Greg. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing UNO, watching TV, and spending holidays with his large and crazy family.

Son of the late Wilbur M. "Bill" Sartwell and the living Patricia Montee Sartwell.

Predeceased by his father.

Survived by his mother, son, Cody Sartwell; sisters, Gail and her husband Thomas Walker and Gwen and her husband William Weaver; brother, Gregory Sartwell; nieces, Jaime, Wendy and Alyx; nephews, Corey and Garrett; great-nieces, Kylin, Caitlyn, Jordan, and Peyton; and great nephews, Ryan and Christian.

Funeral Service and Interment: Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2PM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Cemetery in Issue, MD.
