William Bradley Simmons, 84, of Nanjemoy, MD, died August 28, 2010, at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Home, Lexington Park, MD.

Mr. Simmons was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He was the owner / operator of Rye's General Store in Nanjemoy, MD, for 40 years.

Born June 30, 1926, in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late William Bradley Simmons, Sr. and the late Helen Archer Simmons.

Predeceased by his parents; wife, Virginia "Winifred" Simmons.

Survived by his son, Jerry and his wife Dorothy Simmons of Lakeland, FL; beloved caretaker, Shirley Lewis.

Funeral Service and Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD, on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 10AM.
