Cynthia Marie "Waters" Grove, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at her residence after suffering many years with emphysema.

Born on April 7, 1955 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Walter James and Helen Inez Jameson Waters.

Cynthia graduated from Potomac High School in MD. In 1976, she began working for the Security Exchange Commission and continued there until choosing to become a stay at home mother. She was an avid dog lover; she was never without a canine companion and was proud that one of her pets trained with the Dog Search and Rescue of Brandywine.

Survived by her husband, Thomas Brian Grove whom she married in 1980, children, James Brian and Mark Travis Grove, of Mechanicsville, MD, grandson, Mark Cody Grove, 6 siblings, Carolann Johnson, Craig Waters, Linda Galsco, Wayne Waters, Debbie Wannall, and Allen Waters, numerous nieces and nephews, and best friend whom was part of the family, Mike Beale.

Memorial Services, Life Party and reception will be held from 1-3 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge on Sunday, August 29, 2010. In lieu of flowers, family is asking that memorial donations be made in memory of Cynthia to help cover medical costs.
