Shirley Ann Jones, 74, of Port Tobacco, MD, died August 21, 2010, at her residence with Hospice.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and the neighborhood babysitter. She was a past president of the Ladies of the Elks, Bladensburg, MD. She was an avid Redskins fan. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing horseshoes, reading, watching movies and being by the water. She loved being with family especially during the holidays.

Daughter of the late Leonard Collins and the late Catherine Lathroum Collins.

Predeceased by her parents; first husband, Ephriam Z. King; second husband, George W. Jones, Jr.; brother, Terrance B. Collins; sisters, Katherine J. Johnson; Leona M. Marchese; brother-in-laws, James Johnson and Nicola Marchese.

Survived by her sons, Ronald E. King of Port Tobacco, MD; George W. Jones III (Peggy Robertson) of Port Tobacco, MD; daughter, Sherrie King (James Zagrodnichek) of Nanjemoy, MD; brothers, Leonard L. Collins (Dot) of Frederick, MD; Kenneth E. Collins of Ocala, FL; Al M. Collins of Annapolis MD; sister, Deanna J. Hadden (Tom) of Newburg, MD; sister-in-law, Sally Collins of Annapolis, MD. Also survived by four grandchildren, Ronnie Taylor (Jessica), George W. Jones, IV (Jessica), Justin King (Andra), Allison Stump (Jesse); eight great-grandchildren, Gavin, Avery, Savannah, Raelyn, Cheyenne, Jordan, Reilly and Kyle.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2010, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with prayers at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 27, 2010, at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata, MD.

Fr. John Reutemant will offciate.

Pallbearers will be Peter Depuy, George "Buck" Hadden, Gary Hess, Chris Mattingly, Jimmy White, Sr., James Zagrodnichek.

Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
