Mary Margaret Bailey, 64, of Newport, MD, died August 18, 2010, at her residence.

Mrs. Bailey was the Assistant Manager of Maryland Bank and Trust in La Plata for 29 years and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newport, MD. She loved playing cards, eating crabs, antiquing, traveling and watching cooking shows. She loved her job at the bank and was known for being very social to all. She most enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Born August 15, 1946, in La Plata, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Brennan Simpson, Sr. and the late Sarah Louise Davis Simpson.

Predeceased by her parents; brother, Joseph Brennan Simpson, Jr.

Survived by son, Steve Timothy and his wife Suzanne Bowling, Jr. of Newport, MD; daughter, Susan M. and her husband Dennis Simpson of Newport, MD; brothers, Edward Brent and his wife Elaine Simpson and James Michael Simpson both of Newport, MD; sister, Barbara Ann and her husband John Bowling of Newport, MD; sister-in-law, Irma Simpson of Newport, MD. Also survived by six grandchildren, Craig, Cody, Kayla, Caden, Austin and Chase.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 22, 2010, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with wake service at 7PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Newport, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 23, 2010, at 11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Fr. Mark Erwin will officiate.

Interment will be at the Church cemetery.
