Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Hill, 64, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away August 17, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Jackie was born April 16, 1946 in Washington, D.C. to William S. and Elizabeth V. Martin Hill.

She was raised in the District of Columbia and attended St. Peter's Elementary, Kramer Jr. High and Anacostia High School. She worked as a day care provider for many years, primarily for her many nieces and nephews. She worked as a custodian at an apartment complex in Riverdale, MD and later at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

She moved to Calvert County in the mid 1980's and was employed as a production worker at a plastics plant and then at a recorded books facility, both located in the Calvert Industrial Park. She had retired due to disability in 2007. In her leisure time Jackie enjoyed sewing and crafts, working puzzle books and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was known for her strong independent spirit.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved parents William S. and Elizabeth V. Hill and a sister Deborah A. Ellis.

She is survived by her sister Patricia L. Gilkerson with whom she lived in Prince Frederick; brothers William S. "Billy" Hill and wife Linda of Severna Park, MD, John R. Hill and wife Dolores of Crofton, MD and Ronald R. "Ronnie" Hill and wife Terrie of Little River, SC; six nieces, Sharon Roussillon, Chrisy Shaw, Penny Lazaro, Peggy Morris, Jennifer Hill and Stephanie Hill; six nephews, Chris, Scott, Jason and Justin Hill and Nick Ellis, Jr. and Alex Ellis; three great-nephews, two great-great-nieces and three great-great-nephews.

Friends were received at Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, MD on Saturday August 21, 2010 from 2-4 P.M. A celebration of Jackie's life followed at 4:00 P.M. Interment will be private.
