Hoffmann, John R. of La Plata, MD. Died on August 9, 2010.

Retired from Washington DC Fire Department after 30 years.

His wife Marilyn Hoffmann, daughter Anne Hoffmann, two brothers, four sisters and many nieces and nephews survive him.

His parents Frederick and Elizabeth Hoffmann, two brothers and one sister predecease him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm with prayers at 7:30 pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, PA 211 St. Mary's Ave. La Plata, Md. 20646. Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, August 13, 2010 10am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church La Plata, Md. Interment to follow at the Mt. Rest Cemetery La Plata, MD.
