On July 28th, 2010 Mary Howard Rothrock passed away in Prince Frederick, Maryland. Born November 9th, 1914, she was a native of Spencer County, Indiana, the daughter of Shirley and Wyoma (nee Barnett) Schumacher.

She resided with her daughter M. Barbara Rolston in St. Leonard, Calvert County, Maryland since June, 1992.

She is survived by her daughter and her son Dr. Russell B. Rothrock, a resident of Battle Creek, Michigan, and three grand children: Raeburn and Reed Rothrock both of Southern California and Caryn McNally of Gaithersburg, MD.

Her grandson Mark Colvin-Snyder passed away in 1987.

Her great grandchildren are Ryan, Sarah, Ava, and Cole Rothrock and Ian Colvin-Snyder.

During her long life she traveled with her husband, Harold B. Rothrock to various parts of the United States and even to Indonesia, where he pursued his profession as a radio engineer. Her husband passed away in 1981. Mary was a voracious reader and an avid gardener, pursuing both with a passion until her recent hospitalization. Although less frequent, she continued to make weekly trips for personal errands, still driving her beloved Thunderbird.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday August 12, 2010, 11 A.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Prince Frederick, MD. Interment is in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Rockport Indiana.
