Mrs. Scheungrab was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 22 years with Southern Maryland Hospital. She loved playing cards, playing bingo, and spending time with family and friends.

She was daughter of the late Johnson W. Russell and the late Elizabeth M. Spaulding.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers-in-law, Thomas Henderson and Dave Collins; and granddaughter, Ashley Bowie.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Joseph Scheungrab; daughters, Jan (John) Porter of Waldorf, MD and Janet Bowie of Waldorf, MD; sisters, Peggy (Thomas) Quade of Charlotte Hall, MD, Rosie Henderson of VA, Carol Collins of Charlotte Hall, MD, and Judy (Pat) Hill of Wicomico, MD. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, John Porter 3rd, Terri Porter (Ball), Brittney Porter, Thomas Bowie, Sayum Bowie and Catlin Bowie.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 5-8 PM with a Funeral Service at 7 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy will be Father Bob Golas.

Interment will be private.
