William Frederick Cherry, 71 of Ridge, MD died July 25, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Born November 10, 1938 in Danville, VA he was the son of the late Benjamin W. Cherry and Eva (Woodall) Cherry. William served in the U.S. Army from January 1958 until January 1961. He was a bricklayer.

William is survived by his siblings Esther Cherry of St. Inigoes, MD, Elizabeth A. Budden of Topsham, ME, Margaret J. Cherry Smith of Youngstown, FL, Benjamin W. Cherry, Jr. of Annapolis, MD and Wanda Y. Cherry of Freeport, FL.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, 13723 Point Lookout Road, Ridge, MD 20680. Reverend John Wunderlich will conduct the service.
