![]() Mr. Tyner was a Roadway Supervisor with the Charles County Government and a veteran of the United States Army, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the FOP Lodge in La Plata, Moose Lodge in White Plains, and The American Legion Post in La Plata. He loved being with his grandchildren and his dogs and visits with his Amish family in PA.
He was son of the late John Thomas Tyner, Jr., and living Phyllis Wood Tyner. He was predeceased by his father; and one son, John Thomas Tyner, IV. He is survived by his mother; his wife of 26 years, Deborah Ridgely Tyner; one son, Sean Tyner of NJ; four daughters, Liz Tyner of La Plata, MD, Michele (John) Brucculeiri of Mechanicsville, MD, Barbara (Jim) Harrill of NJ, and Jennifer Tyner of NJ; three brothers, Mike Tyner of NY, Francis Tyner of NC, and Matt Tyner of MD. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 10:30 AM until service time at 12:30 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Clergy will be the Rev. Mark Roberson. Interment will follow at MD Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Pallbearers will be the United States Army Honor Guard.
