![]() Jacqueline "Jackie" Carol Clipper, 57, of La Plata, MD, died July 22, 2010, at her residence with Hospice.
Jackie was the daughter of a tobacco farmer and graduated from La Plata High School and attended Charles County Community College. She was a member the 4-H Club and Job's Daughters. She worked as a Library Technician with the Naval Ordinance Station, Indian Head and later a secretary at Stump Neck. She then took time to raise her family and later became a substitute teacher for the Charles County Board of Education. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church and served the Lord with all of her heart. Jackie enjoyed needlepoint, attending church activities, spending time with her family and grandchildren and was also a member of the Pink Ladies Breast Cancer Support Group. She was a true Southern Marylander who enjoyed her seafood. She was always of good spirit and had a tender heart. Born July 18, 1953, in La Plata, MD, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Boggs and Lona Bell Chapman Boggs. Predeceased by her father; brother, William R. Boggs; mother-in-law, Rose Clipper and John Howard Clipper. Survived by her mother, Lona Bell Boggs of La Plata, MD; her husband of 29 years, John "Jack" W. Clipper; sons, Brian Wesley Clipper and his wife Amber of Loveland, CO; Allen Andrew Clipper of La Plata, MD; brothers, Robert L. Boggs and his wife, Frannie of Newburn, NC; Burkey W. Boggs and his wife, Margaret of La Plata, MD; sister-in-law, Mary Virginia Boggs of Hollywood, MD; brother-in-law, Billy Clipper and his wife, Donna of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also survived by two grandchildren, Brynn Noelle Clipper and Ty Wesley Clipper and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, July 26, 2010, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with a wake service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. An additional viewing will be on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, beginning at 10AM until service time at 11AM at Anchor Baptist Church, 10440 Crain Highway, Faulkner, MD 20632. Funeral Service will begin at 11AM at Anchor Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Joseph and Rev. George Dickens will officiate. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
