![]() Irene Margaret Long Ott, 80, of Waldorf, died on July 19, 2010, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center.
She was born the youngest of 10 children on July 24, 1929, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles Edward Long and the late Elizabeth Marie Dietrich Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lewis Ott, whom she married on September 16, 1950; son William Ott; siblings Regina Hilbert, Elizabeth Flynn, Grace Martin, Walburga Williams, Gertrude Durland, Carl Long, George Long, Henry Long and Joseph Long. Her hobbies included ceramics, baking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children; sons, Karl Ott and his wife Marjorie of La Plata; Robert Ott and his wife Barbara of Waldorf; daughters, Mary Catherine Ott of Waldorf and Kristina Marie Wibbenmeyer and her husband Allan of Charlotte Hall; daughters-in-law, Ellen E. Rollins of Charlotte Hall and Nancy Lee Ott of Woodbridge, Va; grandchildren, Steven J. Ott and his wife Jenny, Kaitlyn Michelle Ott, Laura Nicole Ott, Nicole Ann Clark and her husband Jared, Allan Joseph Wibbenmeyer, Joseph Carl Wibbenmeyer; great-granddaughter, Kiara Rose Clark; sister-in-law, Ellen Long; brother-in-law, Joseph Ott; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Raymond Funeral Home in La Plata, MD, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. Prayers will be offered at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD, on Friday, July 23, 2010. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be Steven Ott, Allan Wibbenmeyer, Joseph Wibbenmeyer, Jared Clark, Richard Bennett and Kevin Durland. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
